Night shooting is always challenging. First it’s a weekday night and rushing to this place afterwork is a madness. Due to it’s a tourist place, we had a moment where this dating couple was blocking our shoot and you wish that them just  disappeared. Lastly, we haven’t got dinner so fuzzy feeling between exciting moment and hungry is kinda mess up a bit. 🙂

The moment:

  • Night photo shooting with Opera House and North Sydney city side from the distance.

Setting that I use:

  • AV mode
  • ISO: 100
  • AW Mode: 0
  • Aperture: F5.0
  • Drive mode: Self-timer – 2sec

What I’ve learned:

  • Get a quick bite before this
  • Always checking the zoom after you shooting cause what you see in the LCD is not the same as you seen in the laptop. I had few photos blur which I thought that it was perfect.
  • When you are changing lens, don’t facing camera up cause the dust may entered inside the camera.
  • You don’t really need any other filter
  • Wish you can get remote so it’s easy to trigger

We left the site and met these “couple” again. Passed the wharf where the huge ship just embarking back to the sea with big horn as we go home desperately trying to find MacD.
